• We are a sea yacht-club based in the White Sea bay in Karelia, North-East of Russia.

About Us

• History. The idea of Yachts-clubs in northern Kareliya has been issued by group of enthusiasts in 1987, the first vessel of Yacht Club was a yacht of type "Dragon" which in a consequence has been altered in a cruiser yacht. After trade union central the enterprises of GOK (Main fabrik) " KarelSluda "Co has accepted sports collective under the wing and financing, there were factory cruiser yachts and nurseries yachts, the nursery cruiser and child yachts section began to work. Yachts-clubs has received the name "BOREY". In a consequence economic burdens of the reorganization period have destroyed such large enterprise as GOK " KarelSluda " Co, but nevertheless yachts the life in Northern Kareliya proceeded, but already under aegis of youthful sports school (Chupa regional child sport schcool).
• The collective of club repeatedly varied and here already those who in the end 80 went on Optimists and Cadets, became captains of cruiser yachts. During absence of financing of necessity of preservation of a material resources and collective has poured out in creation tourism companies "KERET -TOUR ". From 2001 year there was a becoming. But one was constant - participation in sailing competitions, propagation of sailing and preservation of nurseries yachts.
• In 2007 members of club have registered City Sports Public organization "Sea yacht-club of Chupa" non-profit, entering as a collective member in the Karelian Federation of Sailing. On former the sports collective in competitions of a various rank, conducts educational and methodical work, work children's yachts and the cruiser yachts section, is spent an accomplishment of territory,communications with other regions are adjusted, the fleet extends. It is run courses for training yachtsmen, work on reception of the license for carrying out of training under program "The state inspection on small-size to vessels of the Russian Federation" on navigators small-size vessels now is conducted. The sports collective Sea yacht-club of Chupa" non-profit with enthusiasm looks in future and invites all wishing to participate in the programs developed by club propagandizing development of sailing not only in Kareliya and by the White sea, but also in all regions of the Russian Federation.

• To the purposes and tasks of the organization includ for :
• - development and popularization of sailing, surfing and other water kinds of sports.
• - support and preservation of sea traditions of the Russian fleet, education of patriotism.
• - creation of necessary conditions for satisfaction of need{requirement} of the person in reception of additional vocational training, a concrete trade (speciality) of a corresponding{meeting} skill level, and also the accelerated purchase of labour skills for performance of the certain work or group of works in a direction of socially useful activity, according to the List of trades (specialities) approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.
• Resource maintenance - payments of members of the organization, the involved grants from physical persons and the organizations dividing the purposes and tasks of the organization, enterprise activity of the organization directed on realization of the authorized purposes.
• The personnel structure of the organization is formed from qualified yachting having supreme trainer's and pedagogical education.
• The collective repeatedly occupied prize-winning places in regattas of a various level. Realizes programs of preparation yachts helmsmen of Federation of sailing of Karelia.
• Through « Basin council of the North-Karelian coast » non-profit in 2005 , 2006 and 2007 years are realized grants of fund Lihachev under the project « THE HEALTHY WAY OF LIFE And RESTORATION of TRADITIONS NORTHERN SEAROUND, AS the BASIS of SOCIAL And CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT of YOUTH of COASTAL TERRITORIES of the NORTH-KARELIAN COAST ».

• Visiting Yachts
  
  Visiting yachtsmen and their crews are welcome to the Club. The "Chupa Sea Yacht Club" is situated in top of Chupa bay of Kandalaksha gulf in the White Sea almost near the Polar circle. Water area is wind protected from all directions. Boats up to 3 meter immersion can easily pass to the yacht club territory. Fairway is pointed by leading beacon. Breadth of fairway is not less then half a mile.
  
  
  We offer:
  - mooring in the yacht club territory
• - refueling, charging, fresh water filling, food resupply
  - car rent, any air or ticket booking, sauna and excursions to local sights are also available
• R epair
  
  The Club have full boatyard repair facilities as well as skilled workers to call on. Carpenters, mechanics and painters are available at the yard for repairs. We can lower or lift your yacht with 5-ton capacity crane for transportation or checkup.
